Week 16- Day 32

Opi's Comet wrapped up the week with a brand new constructed arm and a half-coded robot. Boggled with multiple problems, our robot continues to test our patience. You can consider this challenge as a work-in-progress.

Monday, April 20, 2015

Week 16-Day 31

Once finished with our last daunting task Mr. Martin assigned us the same one again, but this time we must do it autonomously. The infamous autonomous challenge stumped our team last time, but the tides will turn. We initiated our week with reconstructing the arm.

Friday, April 17, 2015

Day 30-Week 15

We have successfully completed our robot today. With smooth and concise precision our robot will be sure to dominate our challenge on Monday. Although Suraj is the superior driver Alec will be the D.D. (designated driver).

Monday, April 13, 2015

Day 29-Week 15

Opi's Comet is well on their way to creating the perfect robot. Needing to put a couple final touches on the robot, we began practicing the challenge course. It seems though our arm may need a little bit of readjusting,

Friday, April 10, 2015

Day 28-Week 14

This week our team has covered a lot of ground. From building an arm to establishing a new canopy, we are way ahead of schedule. Our team has initiated the coding process of the arm and our future seems to be as bright as a light bulb here at Opi's Comet.

Monday, April 6, 2015

Day 27- Week 14

We have finished our search for parts today and plan on assembling everything throughout the week. Opi's Comet is well on their way to finish first among the the other groups for building a successful arm.

Friday, April 3, 2015

Day 26- Week 13

Opi's Comet finished the week with agreeing upon our final building plan. We managed to start the construction of the arm. We are still in the process of contemplating of using a big motor or small motor.

Monday, March 30, 2015

Day 25-Week 13

We began our research today on the tetrahedral challenge. Googling various arm techniques our group has managed to select our design. Consisting of an arm-like structure to lift the tetrahedrons and a simple wheel, our design is ensured for success. My name is Suraj and I approve this message.

Day 22-Week 11

Today was the big day of autonomous testing. After working countless hours on our robot we were able to score 90/100 on our autonomous test. For each straight line or turn we received a certain amount of points. Opi's Comet is very proud of their autonomous robot.

Monday, March 16, 2015

Day 21-Week 11

Being the last week to work on autonomous we scrambled to ensure our Robot worked correctly. While not having a cortex key we were forced to use an orange wire, which connected to the robot and controller. This forced us to walk our robot like a dog. Although inconvenient it got the job done.

Friday, March 13, 2015

Day 20-Week 10

After a strenuous week of attempting to correct our coding. We received a marvelous tip from Mr. Martin about battery power, which heavily influences the robot's course. We are now currently using all factors associated with the robot in order for it to work autonomously.

Monday, March 9, 2015

Day 19-Week 10

We began Monday morning with a great start. Completing two laps, the autonomous robot seemed almost complete, until we attempted to code the third lap. Our journey was about to take a turn for the worst.

Friday, March 6, 2015

Day 18-Week 9

After fixing up our robot problems we began to begin the actual coding process. We learned on how time speed, and voltage power affects the robot's performance and are currently on the first lap of the robot.

Monday, March 2, 2015

Day 17- Week 9

We kicked off the week with beginning to learn on how to code the robot in a way we haven't done before. We were supposed code the robot to go around two chairs automatically. However, our group wasn't unable to begin the actual process because of some maintenance problems with the actual robot.

Friday, February 27, 2015

Day 16- Week 8

During our coding experience we have stumbled upon multiple problems. We have attempted to trouble-shoot them but have remained unsuccessful, until we teamed up with 21 armored division to figure out how to code successfully. The outcome of the week was finishing the robot and beginning our coding adventure.

Monday, February 23, 2015

Day 15- Week 8

We finally finished our robot this week. We checked over it by tightening all the screws and looking to find any misplaced parts. Once done we had our robot checked by Mr. Martin, who finalized it and gave us permission to begin coding.

Friday, February 20, 2015

Day 14-Week 7

We continued to build our robot throughout the week. While doing so we learned the names of many pieces of equipment. Through trial and error we discovered many different techniques to building the robot. Overall, our week was productive, we managed to lock the engine in place with the chassis.

Day 13-Week 7

This week we initiated the process of building our robot. We used the Vex binder as well as Mr. Martin's guidelines to build the robot. Various tools such as Allen Wrenches were used to enhance our building speed.

Friday, February 13, 2015

Day 12-Week 6
